WHO WE ARE
We are a family run business; Andrew and Lucy are siblings, Adam and George are good friends. Hurkle was founded in 2024, in the Kent countryside, just outside Royal Tunbridge Wells.
We build luxury, handcrafted shepherd huts brimming with character and cosiness. Our small team is made up of various backgrounds and includes an architect, boat builder, joiners and housing professionals.
We have a number of existing designs and layouts from which to choose. Alternatively, we can draw up fully bespoke options to make your hut truly unique. Our name came from a colloquial Scottish term. To “hurkle-durkle” is to lounge in bed long after it is time to get up. Our huts are the perfect place to do exactly that.
